dedicated to the arts.

The Bluff Arts Festival is an annual celebration of the arts and culture of the Four Corners region. Each year we gather on the third weekend in October surrounded by red rocks and golden hues of the cottonwoods. We invite you to join us.

The festival is a part of the newly formed Bluff Community Foundation, a 501(c)(3) dedicated to supporting the arts and community of greater Bluff.

FAQs

Here are some frequently asked questions.

What is the bluff arts festival?

The Bluff Arts Festival is an annual celebration of the creative spirit of Bluff, Utah, San Juan County and surrounding communities, including the Navajo Nation, Ute Mountain Ute Tribe, Hopi, Zuni, and more than 20 other Tribes and Pueblos who have called  the greater Four Corners region home since time immemorial.

who organizes BAF?

Since its inception in the early 2000s, the Bluff Arts Festival has been organized by a group of dedicated volunteers. Each summer new and/or existing volunteers begin efforts to select and arrange various events, including the artist market, film festival, live music, children’s activities, hands-on workshops, and more. Our volunteers are dedicated and generous with their time; we are grateful for their efforts because without them the Bluff Arts Festival would not exist.

how are events selected?

Careful thought and consideration is given to each event. While we receive a number of suggestions, which organizers greatly appreciate, we are often limited by volunteer power and/or funding. If you have a fresh idea, or are willing to roll up your sleeves and help, please contact us.

DEDICATED TO JUSTICE, EQUITY, DIVERSITY & INCLUSION

The festival and its parent nonprofit, Bluff Community Foundation, are committed to fostering an inclusive environment in which cultural, gender, age, religious, socioeconomic and sexual identity diversity is encouraged and celebrated.

The principles of Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion are paramount to the creative arts and our community. The Bluff Arts Festival organizing committee works to offer diverse programming, to encourage diversity in applicants for the annual artist market and to conduct outreach to a diverse pool of filmmakers. We acknowledge our efforts and our practice of allyship are continually evolving, and we are committed to supporting those who have experienced  discrimination, marginalization, and historical disenfranchisement.
